Tech Industry Alliance (TIA) event at nimbus
An Exciting Day in The Nimbus Research Centre !
Everyone at The Nimbus Research Centre was absolutely delighted to Host the event MTU innovation – Forging the future of digital and advanced technologies in partnership with Tech Industry Alliance (TIA).
This wasn’t like your average boring open day, This was an an amazing showcase of our future focused and innovative team who prove time and time again that MTU and Nimbus are true technology partners for real world impact.
The event was opened by MTU’s own Sean McSweeney the dean of engineering, and followed by an amazing panel discussion facilitated by Director of Nimbus Dr Susan Rea. The panel also included Dr Aidan O Mahony, Brenda Cooper, Dr George O Mahony and Faye Murphy.
“We were thrilled to welcome TIA members to the Nimbus Centre, to showcase the opportunities for collaboration with the broader MTU Research & Innovation Ecosystem” commented Dr. Alan McGibney, Nimbus Research Director,
“The panel discussion was very insightful and it was fantastic to invite TIA members to explore new ideas with our research team.”
Research Showcase
Following our brilliant panel discussion we hosted a showcase throughout the centre where attendees of the event had a chance to speak to our researches and see some of the work they’re doing in action. Dr Cliodhna Sargent set up her escape room and demonstrated some of the robot cars she uses in her Cyber futures campaign.
Andrew De Juan showcased some of the work he does using extended reality (XR) in our state of the art XR lab and the attendees were instantly drawn to him and the fascinating work he’s doing at Nimbus.
